1. Permitted Uses
XyleHosting services are designed for:
- Minecraft, game server, and application hosting for personal and commercial use
- Web hosting for legitimate websites, blogs, and e-commerce stores
- Discord bot hosting for community management bots
- Development, testing, and staging environments
- VPS usage for general-purpose computing, databases, APIs, and development tools
- Legitimate business applications and SaaS products
2. Prohibited Activities
2.1 Network & Security Abuse
- Launching, facilitating, or participating in DDoS attacks against any target
- Port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or probing networks without written authorization
- Unauthorized access to systems, networks, or data
- Deploying malware, viruses, ransomware, botnets, or exploit kits
- Forging packet headers or IP spoofing
- Running open proxies, VPN exit nodes (without approval), or anonymization services that facilitate abuse
2.2 Spam & Messaging Abuse
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) from any XyleHosting IP address
- Operating mailing lists without proper opt-in verification
- Phishing campaigns, credential harvesting, or social engineering attacks
- SMS spam, robocalling, or any unsolicited mass messaging
2.3 Illegal Content
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance, immediately reported to authorities
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
- Distribution of pirated software, cracked games, or illegal media
- Content promoting terrorism, violence, or hate speech
- Illegal gambling operations or unlicensed financial services
2.4 Gaming Server Rules
For Minecraft and game server plans:
- Servers must not be used to host hacked clients, exploit distribution, or cheating tools
- You may not use your server to attack other game servers
- Cracked/offline mode servers are permitted for single-owner testing only — not for evading Mojang's authentication on public servers
- Resource consumption must stay within your plan limits; runaway processes causing neighbour impact will be throttled
2.5 Discord Bot Rules
- Bots must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Developer Policy at all times
- You may not run self-bots, token loggers, or bots designed to scrape, spam, or raid servers
- Bots involved in harassment, manipulation, or hate campaigns will be terminated immediately
2.6 Resource Abuse
- Cryptocurrency mining is prohibited on all plans without prior written approval
- Intentionally consuming excessive CPU, RAM, or I/O to degrade shared infrastructure
- Running torrent clients or P2P file sharing as a primary workload
3. Reporting Abuse
If you observe abuse originating from XyleHosting's IP space, please report it to abuse@xyle.host. Include the IP address, timestamp, and a description of the activity. We investigate all credible reports within 24 hours.
4. Enforcement
Upon discovering a violation, XyleHosting may take the following actions, depending on severity:
- Warning: Email notification requesting corrective action within a specified timeframe
- Throttling: Resource restriction to protect other customers
- Suspension: Service suspended pending investigation
- Termination: Immediate account termination with no refund for serious violations
- Legal action: Reporting to law enforcement for illegal activities
